From 1980-1995 Seth Tibbot made tempeh and lived in a treehouse.Yes, he did! Without much prior financial success, he decided to do something about the 46 million Turkeys that are killed every year in the name of ‘gratitude’, ‘thanks’, and ‘tradition.’ Tofurky was born!
In truth, Seth is the founder of more than Tofurky. He is one of the key foundational bricks upon which the current plant-based movement was built.
Seth and I dish about his humble beginnings, the future of food, the changing landscape of agriculture, and the secret weapon of vegans! Didn’t realize you were a superhero? Seth sets you straight! Listen in!
Seth’s book, In Search for the Wild Tofurky, How a Business Misfit Pioneered Plant-based Foods Before They Were Cool is out on Amazon early April. For more information, visit http://Tofurky.com
In the interim, here is a snippet of Seth explaining the history of plant-based meats and cheeses and if now is the time that plant-based finally goes mainstream.
